The Marzemino is an Italian native grape from the northern region of Trentino. In the year 1409, the Marzemino wine was served during a grand banquet with Pope Gregory XII. Mozart writes in his opera Don Giovanni: "Give the excellent Marzemino. Based on DNA research, the grape is related to the Teroldego, also authentic in the Trentino region. The heart of the Marzemino vineyards is Isera in Trentino. The Marzemino also has DOC status.

What does wine from the Marzemino grape taste like?

Wine from Marzemino has a characteristic dark hue and a light plum-like taste, also green acidity and a spicy cherry fruit. Marzemino is drunk young and can also be lightly sparkling.
