Falanghina
Falanghina
The Falanghina grape is a very well-known and appreciated grape from the Campania wine region. The Falanghina ripens late and needs a lot of sun to get the best out of her. When the Falanghina is produced excessively, its quality decreases sharply and is just enough for simple drinkable wines. However, when she is in top form, the wines are sublime. As mentioned earlier, the Falanghina comes from the Campania wine region. Along the coastline to be exact. From the Falerno del Massico in the north, over Naples in the middle of the coast to the Costa Amalfitana. Today, this variety is still grown in this area on its original rhizome and not on an American one. This grape was probably already the basis of a white wine in Roman times.
