Bourboulenc
Bourboulenc
The Bourboulenc is a relatively unknown grape from the South of France. It is one of the five grapes that can be used in the white Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Bourboulenc, naturally citrusy in taste with a smoky spiciness, is almost always used for blends with other white varieties such as grenache blanc and clairette. Examples of such wines are those from La Clape, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Bandol.
