There is a lot of confusion about the Cornalin. Cornalin is the name of that breed in the Italian Valle d'Aosta. But now comes the confusing... In 1972, the Swiss simply – and therefore erroneously – christened their native breed Rouge du Pays cornalin. They used the name of humagne rouge in Aosta. This completes the confusion. Do you still get it? So the Cornalin from Switzerland is different from the Cornalin Italy and the Cornalin from Italy is actually the same as the Humagne from Switzerland.

What does wine from the Cornalin grape taste like?

It is a grape that gives red wine with a lot of structure and spice. They sometimes want to be a bit 'earthy' with pepper and black fruit in the taste. Traditionally, they combine well with game.
