The Grandcruwijnen App has been developed as a full extension of our website. All the functionality you use online is also available in the App. This makes it easy to search, filter, view and order.
What you do on the website appears immediately in the App, and vice versa. If you mark a wine as a favourite on your desktop, it automatically appears in your favourites list in the App. Your shopping basket, orders and account information are fully synchronised. This ensures continuity, regardless of the device you use.

With the App you have a digital catalogue of more than 4,000 quality wines from around the world. Every wine page contains extensive, structured information, including:
- Detailed winery information
- Details on production, maturation and ageing
- Grape composition
- Description of aroma and flavour profile
- Current prices and stock levels
Thanks to highly detailed filter options, you can search specifically by region, grape variety, price level, vintage, alcohol percentage, style or other specific characteristics. This lets you quickly find exactly the wine that suits your preference or occasion.

Professional reviews
You get direct access to ratings from Parker, Suckling, Vinous and Wine Spectator, among others. This allows you to assess wines based on international scores.

Test your wine knowledge with short, instructive facts about grape varieties, regions and wine styles. An informative way to deepen your knowledge.
Sommy
Our digital sommelier gives comprehensive wine and food pairing advice. You tell Sommy what you are going to prepare and it analyses the dish. You receive an explanation of flavour components such as acidity, fat, spiciness or structure, followed by targeted wine suggestions with reasoning for why they suit your dish.

For many wines you will find specific dishes that suit the character of the wine. This helps you make a well-informed choice.
Personal tasting notes and wine records
The App offers extensive options for keeping your own tasting notes. You can choose a free-form description as an enthusiast, or use the international WSET method for a structured analysis.
Your notes are completely private and easy to find in your account. Data such as purchase date, purchase price and product information is also added automatically. You can also record where the bottles are kept in your wine cellar or wine cooler. This way you build up a personal and well-organised record of your wines.
Scan function for instant wine information
With the built-in scan function you can take a photo of a bottle or scan the barcode. Extensive information about that wine appears immediately.
If a specific vintage is no longer available, you can see right away whether a newer vintage is on offer. The App also shows similar wines based on style, region and grape composition. This makes the function especially useful at dinners, tastings or when restocking your cellar.
Coming soon: Wine Finder with text-based flavour search
The upcoming addition, Wine Finder, goes a step further than the existing filters. It lets you search by text for a flavour profile, style or theme.
For example, you can search for topics such as cool climate white wines, differences between New World and Old World Chardonnay, or wines that suit a specific occasion. Wine Finder connects flavour profile, the story behind the winery and thematic selections.
Coming soon: extended Wine Cellar functionality
You can already indicate within your tasting notes where a wine is physically stored. This functionality will be expanded into a full Wine Cellar module.
It will also let you register wines that were not purchased through Grandcruwijnen. This gives you a complete overview of your entire wine collection, including location, ageing potential and personal notes.
