2019 Aristocratico Valpolicella Ripasso DOC

Aristocratico's Ripasso has a ruby red color. On the nose this Valpolicella Ripasso is very rich with delicious ripe fruit aromas (cherry, berry, strawberry). In terms of taste, this wine is round with nice soft tannins and a multitude of ripened fruit. A full flavor of cherry, raspberry, strawberry and berries.

When making the Ripasso, a special winemaking technique is used that adds colour, strength and flavor to the 'regular' fresh, light Valpolicella. The young Valpolicella wine, together with the skins of the dried grapes used for Amarone, undergoes a short second fermentation. Colours, aromas and flavors are extracted from the unpressed grape skins and added to the Valpolicella, which makes the wine fuller, richer and firmer. This Ripasso has a fresher style and lower alcohol (13.5%) than many others and is therefore more accessible and less heavy in its younger years.

The wine goes well with grilled meat, stew and red meat.
