Pouilly-Fuissé is de bekendste dorpsbenaming in de regio Mâconnaise in Bourgondië. De onder dit label geproduceerde wijn is afkomstig uit een kwartet van kleinere gemeenten: Solutré-Pouilly, Fuissé, Vergisson en Chaintré. Het is een van de grootste regio's van Bourgondië, met 761 hectare beplant met wijnstokken. Chardonnay is hier de enige toegestane druif, en veel van de geproduceerde wijnen worden beschouwd als hetzelfde kwaliteitsniveau als die gemaakt in de Côte de Beaune, zonder het (te) hoge prijskaartje. De rijping van eiken is aan de producent en er zijn veel voorbeelden van wijn die met of zonder eikenhout wordt geproduceerd. Verwacht hoe dan ook aroma's en smaken van noten, geel fruit zoals citroen, ananas en appels. Met de leeftijd worden honing en brioche dominant. De beste van deze wijnen kunnen tot 20 jaar oud worden.
