Ningxia

Ningxia ligt ongeveer 1.330 kilometer ten westen van Peking. Het is gelegen in Centraal-West-China aan de rand van de Gobi-woestijn en voedt zich met de Gele Rivier die zijn oorsprong vindt in het schone en natuurlijke Tibetaanse plateau.Met de dorheid van het land en langere zonlichturen dan normaal tijdens het groeiseizoen (ongeveer 3.000 - vergeleken met het gemiddelde van 2.052 uur van Bordeaux), mogen de bessen volledig rijpen, waardoor ze een vol fruitkarakter ontwikkelen. De druiven hebben ideale groeiomstandigheden in het Helan-gebergte, op 1100 meter boven zeeniveau. De hoogte en de woestijn met zijn hete dagtemperaturen en koude nachten helpt de wijnen hun frisheid te behouden en dit maakt dat Chinese wijnen enorm in opkomst zijn.
