Côtes du Ventoux - Cinsault
De AOC Côtes du Ventoux is gelegen in de oostelijke Cotes du Rhone in het departement Vaucluse. Het ligt in de omgeving van steden Carpentras, Apt, Pernes-les-Fontaines en Malaucène en de Mont Ventoux (de reus van de Provence). De AOC Côtes du Ventoux werd toegekend op 27 juli 1973 en de belangrijkste regels zijn:
- Het alcoholpercentage moet minstens 11% bedragen.
- De opbrengst mag maximaal 50 hectoliter per hectare opleveren.
- Het suikergehalte van de most moet minstens 200 gram per liter bedragen.
- De wijnstokken moet minstens drie jaar oud zijn.
- Het decreet erkent volgende appellaties: AOC Côtes du Ventoux rouge, rosé en blanc.
- De druivenrassen voor de rode en rosé wijnen zijn: grenache, syrah, carignan (voor maximum 30%), cinsault, mourvèdre en picpoul noir.
- De druivenrassen voor de witte wijnen zijn: clairette, bourboulenc, ugni blanc, roussanne en grenache blanc.
