Sinds 2017 heeft de Zuid-Afrikaanse Wine and Spirit Board de Appelatie (WO) goedgekeurd en heeft betrekking op 30 wijnmakerijen en ongeveer 6.800 hectare in de districten Tygerberg en Cape Peninsula, waaronder de vier wijken Constantia, Durbanville, Philadelphia en Hout Bay. Op het verste punt ligt het wijnbouwgebied op 35 km afstand van het stadscentrum van Kaapstad.
