Roeno is situated on the border of Veneto and Alto Adige east of Lake Garda. The family business was founded in the 1960s by Rolando Fugatti, who has since passed it on to the 2nd generation: Roberta, Cristina and Giuseppe. Roeno makes fresh, mountain wines, characteristic of the region. They use the local specialty, Gewürztraminer and make surprising rodea wines from the local grape varieties Marzemino and Teroldego. They also use Müller Thurgau, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.

The name Roeno is a deduction of founder Rolando's name, with the Greek word Enos, meaning "wine". The winery is located about 30 kilometers north of Garda, literally on the border between Veneto and Alto Adige. However, the winery's focus is on the terroir of Alto Adige. Founded in the 1960s, Roeno quickly became known among the locals for its good restaurant. Roeno particularly caught our eye because of the quality wines from limestone-rich terroirs.

Roeno has vineyards in several regions of origin, including the relatively young IGP Vallagarina for the Marzemino and Teroldego. The Rìvoli area, situated between the town of Affi and the headquarters in Brentino Belluno, is considered by Roeno to be the top area for Pinot Grigio. Roeno makes an almost ruddy colored Pinot Grigio there, which is lightly aged in wood. A real specialty!

The vineyards are nestled on the border between Veneto and Trentino, in the land known as "Terra dei Forti" The winery is surrounded by mountain slopes flanking the Adige River. A land of (no) borders, two words rich in fascination and references, cultural confluences and intertwined lives. The vineyards are all pearls on the banks of the River Adige, between Monte Baldo and the Lessinia plateau. Beyond the Terradeiforti Doc denomination, the vineyards extend to the municipality of Affi and the municipality of Caprino Veronese. Further north, however, they reach the province of Trento, which puts them within the Trentino Doc specification.
