The cellars of Domaine Gilbert Picq et Fils are located in the village of Chichée, on the left bank of the river Serein 3 km south of the town of Chablis. Today the estate is owned by Gilbert's two sons Didier and Pascal and his daughter Marilyn Picq. The vineyards are managed by Pascal, Didier leads the vinification in the cellars and Marilyn is in overall charge.

The Picq winery owns a total of 13 hectares of vineyards, of which 2 hectares are Premier Cru and 1 hectare with old vines of around 50 years old. It is a family dream to add a Grand Cru vineyard in the future. The chardonnay grapes are harvested only late, early October, and exclusively by hand. Yields are deliberately kept low. Only in this way can a great wine be obtained, with fruit and delicate aromas and with above-average concentration and power in the taste. The use of indigenous yeasts in the fermentation and raising of the wine in stainless steel tanks preserves the unique expression of the terroir. Picq is a classic example of how to make truly amazing wines. The winery regularly receives very positive reviews from international wine journalists. For example in Wine Spectator and guides such as Gault Millau and Guide Hachette, who praise the house and winemaker Didier Picq for the continuous pursuit of quality.
