Facts About Sherry Wines: Answers to Your Questions

A Special White Wine: Sherry Wines are essentially aged white wines with a range of colors from light to dark. Serve them chilled in a white wine glass, similar to other white wines.

Three Grape Varieties: Palomino grape for dry wines, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel grapes for sweet varieties.

Unique Production Process: The wines are produced according to the traditional Criaderas and Solera system, in which wines from different vintages are combined.

Maturation: Maturation in American oak barrels determines the flavor profile. There are two types of maturation: Organic maturation with "flor" and oxidative maturation without "flor."

Flor: This type of yeast changes and enriches the wine and at the same time protects it against oxidation. Flor is a remarkable oenological wonder of Sherry.
