The Appelatie Ladoix is located in the Côte de Beaune for mainly red wine from Pinot Noir and a little white from Chardonnay in the municipality of Ladoix-Serrigny. The appellation also includes climats classified as premier cru. Ladoix-Serrigny AOC, together with Aloxe Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses, is located around the hill of Corton. The Premier Cru vineyards of this appellation are often planted with Pinot Noir vines.

Ladoix used to be part of the village of Serigny. Ladoix gained momentum in the 1980s due to the merchants and craftsmen who turned Serigny into an economic center. Because of this, the current name of this region is Ladoix-Serrigny. Ladoix has been an independent appellation since 1937.
