Founded in 1884 by brothers António and Francisco, Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges quickly became one of the most important wine companies in Portugal, the result of a combination of tradition, age-old knowledge, dedication to the land and passion for wine. Conscious of the need to control the production process from the moment the vineyard is planted, Borges is present in the main regions defined by Portugal with four own and reference quintas: in Vinho Verde, Quinta de Simaens and Quinta do Ôro; in Douro, Quinta da Soalheira and in Dão, Quinta de São Simão da Aguieira.
