Tomatin 14 Years Portwood Whisky

Tomatin 14 Years Port Wood Finish is a beautiful Singel Malt Whiskey that matured in ex Bourbon casks of 13 years after which a finish of 12 months followed in ex Tawny port casks. The result is a wonderful combination of fine vanilla notes with a nice soft rich undertone by the Porto barrels. Beautiful ruby dark in color and very soft on the palate. The 14-year-old Tomatin whiskey is sublim in taste in terms of price. The end result is a tasty, accessible whiskey with dark fruit influences. The Tomatin Port Wood finish is very easy to drink and has a nice nose at the start. Beautiful warmth in the aftertaste with a clear Portuguese touch.

Nose

Vanilla and sweet spices, then a strip of red and dark berry fruit, plus rich notes of bread pudding.

Taste

Brioche and bread pudding, packed with raisins and liquor raisins, as well as cinnamon and nutmeg. This is sweet but well balanced.

Finish

sweet and spicy. The dark fruit keeps coming back beautifully
