Sgambaro was the first Italian pasta brand with the title "100% made from Italian grains". They also try to keep their impact on the environment as low as possible and use 100% renewable energy to make the pasta. 90% percent of the wheat for the Sgambaro pasta comes from Northern Italy, from the fields near the grain mill: this guarantees freshness and reduces the impact of transport on the environment. The origin of all wheat varieties have been certified since 2003 to to offer the absolute certainty that you are only eating the good products of the land. Scambaro pastas are incomparable and cannot be found in regular supermarkets. It is the pasta that is mainly used in the high-end gastronomy and therefore rightly Grandcru worthy.
Kamut khorasan wheat guarantees the highest quality standards. It comes straight to the mill from the great semi-arid plains of Montana, Alberta and Saskatchewan (Canada), where it is grown according to strict organic regulations. Kamut is the trademarked name for khorasan wheat, an ancient grain. Because it's higher in protein than regular modern wheat, it actually makes for a more tender pasta while still being 100% whole grain. Kamut is seen as the absolute Grandcru among wheat
Fettuccine refers to a type of pasta in the form of long, flat ribbons. Indeed, the word "fettuccine" means "little ribbons" in Italian. It is a flat and thick paste that can be fresh or dried. Available in curled nests, this Kamut Fettuccine No.75 resembles tagliatelle, also a ribbon-like paste. The content of this Sgambaro Fettucine is 250 grams and the cooking time for this Al Dente Pasta is 5 minutes.
