Historisch terroir, zo omschrijf je Simonsberg het beste. Op de grens tussen Stellenbosch en Paarl liggen de wijngaarden van vilafonte bodem. Een bodemtype waar de wijngaard naar vernoemd is en dat al honderdduizenden, sommigen denken miljoenen, jaren oud is. Instrumenten uit de oertijd zoals stenen bijlen zijn te vinden in de wijngaard en maken onderdeel uit van dit unieke terroir. Misschien kun je dat niet proeven, maar het is onmiskenbaar verbonden met de geschiedenis van Zuid-Afrika en met de wijnen. Simon van der Stel plantte niet voor niets al 500 jaar geleden de eerste druivenstokken.

All of our sample boxes have a number of things in common, mainly that they are all (international) class wines and that they are extra competitively priced. A document with all wine descriptions and a table for making tasting notes is added to each test box. What could be more fun than selecting your favorite wine in this way together with friends and / or family.
