Pinot Blanc grape
Pinot Blanc is the main grape of the Crémant d'Alsace. It is therefore one of the seven main characters from Alsace. Moreover, it is grown in many places, but nowhere is it given a leading role. Not even in Alsace where it does not belong to the 4 noble grape varieties. However, his pedigree is good. He is a mutation of Pinot Gris, who is related to Pinot Noir. The taste is very similar to a mild Chardonnay, but in a lighter version.
The Pinot Blanc is a smooth wine with a pleasant fruity perfume and a soft taste. Drink preferably young.
Pinot Blanc is mainly found in France in Alsace, in Germany (Baden) and in Northern Italy (Alto Adige). We also find it in Austria, United States, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.
Clevner or Klevner (Alsace)
Pinot Bianco (Italy)
Weissburgunder or Weisser Burgunder (Germany and Austria)
Beli Pinot in Slovenia and the Balkans
At Grandcruwijnen, we think it is important that people can find their preferred flavor. That is why we came up with the idea of the sample box. This does not just consist of a number of wines, but of themed wines specially selected by our vinologists. With the sample boxes you can try different wines and find your own taste.
Order sample boxes online at Grandcruwijnen
All of our sample boxes have a number of things in common, mainly that they are all (international) class wines and that they are extra competitively priced. A document with all wine descriptions and a table for making tasting notes is added to each test box. What could be more fun than selecting your favorite wine in this way together with friends and / or family.
