Bodegas Shaya was founded by Juan Gil. The Shaya Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine from the DO Rueda made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes from old vines with very minimal yields, planted in the southeastern part of the province of Segovia - in the south of the Rueda appellation. The wine is made by Australian winemaker Belinda Thomson, of the Crawford River winery. The Shaya is best known for its Verdejo and this Shaya Sauvignon is made in a much smaller edition and is almost impossible to obtain outside Spain. The Shaya Sauvignon Blanc has seductive and delicate aromas of tropical fruit, wild flowers, green apple and citrus peel that almost jump out of the glass. FACT: As of the 2021 vintage, the Shaya Sauvignon Blanc is organically certified.

Born under the sun, Aubert & Mathieu Kate truly embodies the warm character of Languedoc Roussillon (IGP Pays d'Oc). The 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes used for Kate are carefully harvested to preserve all their flavors. Sauvignon, Grenache & Syrah are endemic grape varieties of Languedoc Roussillon. These grapes appreciate the generous soils and mild winter and sunny summer climate of this region. The grapes come from organic farming and are part of Aubert & Mathieu's ecological responsibility approach. The wines are then bottled in recycled glass bottles and the labels are made from recyclable and recycled materials. On the wine label, this is reflected in the dress with bright, bold colours. KATE is therefore a lively and exotic wine. FACT: The wine is served in KLM's Business Class and Business Lounge

Cold Fact is the album by singer-songwriter Sixto Rodriguez, who became a cultural phenomenon in South Africa and became internationally famous in the movie 'Searching for Sugar Man'. It is also a cold soak technique used with Jordan to extract flavor from the skins of the ripest Sauvignon Blanc grapes (they look for Sugar Man), which are then refrigerated and left on the skins for hours or even overnight, where the process helps extract the intense flavors associated with this highly aromatic grape variety. The Cold Fact Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful straw yellow, as a good Sauvignon Blanc should be. It is a wonderfully fresh, sleek Sauvignon blanc with a fresh nose of lime, green pepper and fresh spiciness. Fresh acidity and a crisp minerality in the mouth.

This Loire wine comes from vineyards located in the heart of Anjou, between Cholet, Saumur and Angers on a calcareous soil with clay and schist. This 100% Sauvignon blanc has had no wood aging, only stainless steel to preserve the freshness. The wine is wonderfully fresh, tight, dry. In the nose, the Petit Clocher Sauvignon Blanc has notes of citrus, white peach, almond and honeysuckle. In the mouth the wine is open, fresh with a tight attack with lots of citrus and stone fruit, a touch of fresh mint, pleasant structure and a long fresh aftertaste. This is a great Loire wine and an excellent and very affordable alternative to the many expensive Loire wines. Delicious to enjoy as a glass and a good accompaniment to shells, grilled fatty fish, soft young cheeses such as goat cheese, white asparagus, grilled vegetables.

Viña Casa Marín was founded in 2000 by winemaker Maria Luz Marín, who had one thing in mind: to make 'terroir wines' in Chile. Her project was innovative and daring, but now she is loved and praised and an example for many others in Chile! María Luz is the first female winemaker and winery in Chile. After graduating from the University of Chile with a degree in agronomy and winemaking, Maria Luz worked in several wineries including not least having worked for Romanee Contie. This Cartagena from the San Antoine Valley is a cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc and is therefore much more like the old world wines like in the Loire. The grapes for this delicious Cartagena come from a 100% own vineyard of the higher parcels, where the nights are less cold compared to the lower vineyards. In the glass the wine is straw yellow with green reflections. The perfume blows out of the glass with notes of white peach, apple, asparagus and cut grass. The taste is mouth-filling with a fine texture, plenty of juicy fruit, a nice complexity, something salty and an intense aftertaste!

The Misty Cove Sauvignon Blanc is a typical Sauvignon from New Zealand. It starts with the color: subtle green. There is a lot to discover when smelling: characteristic gooseberries, fresh herbs and melon. The scents spray out of the glass. They all fight for attention. The taste of the wine is juicy and you can taste the green of celery, gooseberry, fresh grass, but also tropical fruit such as passion fruit and citrus. That the aftertaste is so long shows that the wine is of good quality. The price/quality ratio of this New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is more than excellent.
