Glenmorangie Lasanta

Elegant yet full of power This whiskey aged for ten years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before maturing for an additional two years in Oloroso Sherry casks from Jerez in Spain. True to its Gaelic meaning of 'warmth' and 'passion', the Lasanta is rich and full-bodied after two years of additional maturation in the Spanish Oloroso and PX Sherry casks. Glenmorangie Lasanta is characterized by rich, spicy, nutty notes of the best quality Oloroso sherry and PX sherry casks selected for the maturation of this whiskey.

Color: full of amber. Nose: delicious aromas of chocolate raisins, honey and sweet caramel toffee. Then aromas of citrus fruit, roasted sugar and creme brulee and rich notes of rum and raisin ice. After adding some water, notes of caramelized apricots and aromas of hazelnuts and walnuts with a light spiciness of linseed oil are released. Taste: rich with full sweet aromas of Spanish raisins with notes of orange, walnuts and butter toffees. Then notes of hazelnuts, drenched in chocolate, spicy and slightly leathery. The finish is pleasant, long with aromas of spicy oranges and hazelnuts dipped in chocolate. The sherry aromas are nicely balanced and absolutely not dominant.
