The Spumante house Ferrari from Italy has become the sponsor of Formula 1. An unprecedented step that for the first time a non-champagne house can sparkle on the podium of Formula 1 and also a reward that beautiful Italian Spumante's (often made from the same grape and an equivalent Terroir) can be of an equal quality (or higher) than their French colleagues.

This set is a must-have for every Wine and Formula 1 enthusiast. Like Ferrari's other wines, it is made exclusively from Chardonnay, harvested from vineyards at an altitude between 300-700 meters with an exposure from south-east to south-west, so beautifully situated in the midday sun. The Special Edition Formula 1 is therefore also a Blanc de Blanc. Yields are limited and the grapes are harvested by hand in September. To make a really nice quality, only the first part of the pressing is used, the rest would give too much vegetableness and sharpness. The bottle fermentation takes no less than three years to create a perfect mousse. A lovely glass, nicely balanced, soft, with a wonderful length and nice acidity.

In the glass, the Ferrari Spumante Special Edition has a bright golden yellow color with a fine mousse. In the nose we smell nice notes of toasted bread, flowers and yellow fruits, nicely broad. In the mouth the Ferrari Spumante is nice and dry and powerful with a perfect mousse, nice white fruit, pear and peach, citrus, lively, nicely toasted and a very good length.

During the Champagne & Sparkling Championship, Ferrari has won no less than 11 gold medals and has won the top prize and can call itself "Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year 2017".
