Equipo Navazos Oloroso Muy Viejisimo La Bota Nº 63

From the same cellar as the famous Anniversery wine from Equipo Navazos - number 62. The NV La Bota 63 Oloroso Viejísimo is a very old Oloroso. "Viejísimo" is the superlative of Old in Spanish. It is a blend of two barrels that have not been refilled for a long time and were therefore seriously evaporated and highly concentrated. The wine has an extreme age of 80-90 years. There are only 900 bottles made from 0.375 liters. This Oloroso sherry has high acidity and bitterness and is blissfully dry. Well how do we describe this unique sherry? Sea water, iodine, seaweed, oyster shells. This is a wine to be enjoyed. Take small sips and let this affect you. Extremely complex and you realize that something that is almost 100 years old is drinking and that it can taste so delicate and fresh. As Parker describes in the Wine advocate: " This is an elegant beast of a wine that is going to be a legend"
