Domaine du Bois Joly is a family estate with 30 hectares of vines between 30 and 60 years old. It is located in Pallet, 20 kilometers southeast of Nantes in the heart of Sèvre and Maine. They work with respect for nature and the wine is certified organic (Certified High Environmental Value III level, or Environment Management System).
The Domaine du Bois Joly Joly Bulles or the cheerful bubble is a delicious fresh sparkling wine. In the glass, the wine has a sparkling golden yellow color. The Joly Bulles has very fine bubbles that make the wine wonderfully smooth. The white Joly Bulles is a blend of Chardonnay and Melon de Bourgogne. The Melon is a French white grape from, indeed, Burgundy, but nowadays exclusively planted in the Muscadet, in the hinterland of Nantes. It is the only permitted variety for wines with that appellation. The organically cultivated vineyard is located on a schist soil which gives the wine a serious minerality with a 'limy' touch and fresh acidity, so ideal for this Sèvre et Maine-et-Loire 'Champagne'. A fraction of the price of its neighbor in the Champagne region and therefore certified organic, so free from pesticides and other chemicals.
