Palmer & Co is the brand of the Société Coopérative de Producteurs des Grands Terroirs de la Champagne. Founded in Avize in 1947 and moved to the center of Reims in 1959. They have a wide range of premier and grand cru vineyards in Montagne de Reims (pinot noir, but also surprisingly good chardonnay), Sézanne (chardonnay), Verzenay and Mailly (pinot noir). Palmer & Co is very successful with its champagnes and has been awarded many times by international wine magazines, such as Decanter and Wine Spectator. Not only top quality, but also fantastic value for money!

For this Brut Réserve, Palmer uses grapes from more than 30 crus: 40-50% chardonnay, 50-60% pinot (mainly pinot noir). The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control. The wines undergo full malolactic fermentation. A good dash of old reserve wines is also added to this assembly. The Palmer & Co Brut Réserve has a light straw yellow color with green hues in the glass. The wine has a refined perlage with fine bubbles. In the nose we smell floral notes and a hint of hazelnut. Fresh and distinctly vinous in taste, with aromas of citrus fruits and freshly baked bread. Our advice is (applies to all beautiful champagnes or good cavas) to drink this wine in a somewhat larger white wine glass and not to drink it too cold, which often happens. This is a waste of taste. Palmer even advises opening the bottle half an hour to an hour in advance so that the champagne can be drunk. This is a magnum version of 1.5 liters.

Champagne Palmer has once again received two of the most prestigious awards this year at the 2022 Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships. The CSWWC is the most respected, comprehensive and rigorous international sparkling wine competition in the world, with most major brands competing alongside Palmer each years such as Charles Heidsieck, Deutz, Ferrari, Joseph Perrier, Henriot, Lallier, Lanson, Mumm, Nyetimber, Perrier-Jouet, Moët & Chandon, Piper-Heidsieck, Pommery, Rare, Roederer, Ruinart, Taittinger and Veuve Cliquot.

Vineyard for Champagne Palmer & Co Brut Réserve Magnum

Palmer & Co is a winery known for its high-quality champagnes. The company was founded in 1947 in the city of Reims, located in the Champagne region of France. The house is named after its founder, André Palmer, and it started as a small family business. Palmer & Co owns vineyards in various parts of the Champagne region, including the famous areas of Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. These different terroirs enable the champagne house to grow high-quality grapes. Traditional methods are used for the production of Champagne, such as the méthode champenoise, where the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, which contributes to the development of the bubbles and the complexity of the taste.

The Champagnes from Palmer & Co.

We as grand cru wines sell the Palmer & Co Brut Réserve and the Palmer & Co Blanc de Blances. The Brut Réserve is the most accessible champagne. It is a Brut Champagne with rich taste and complex aromas of white flowers, peach and citrus fruits. Palmer & Co uses more than 30% crus for this Champagne. The Champagne is fermented in a stainless steel tank that's under strong temprature control. We also have the Palmer & Co Blanc de Blancs. This is a Champange made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. This results in an elegant and fresh champagne with notes of citrus and minerality. This wine is also fermented in a stainless steel tank that is under strong temperature control.
