The Mouzon-Leroux L'Atavique Grandcru extra brut is a cuvee where the prevailing grape is the Pinot Noir (70%) is supplemented with 30% Chardonnay. The grapes come from the grandcru vineyards in Vezy, so from the hills of Reims where the most beautiful vineyards are located. Very authentic champagnes are made at Mouzon-Leroux with a focus on only high quality as befits a Grandcru champagne. So 100% vinification has been taking place in oak barrels since 2010 and aging for at least 40 months, so the must has plenty of time to mature. Bio-dynamics are used, so in addition to no chemicals, natural fertilizer is also taken into account and seasons and moon phases are taken into account. They have been wine growers at Mouzon-Leroux since 1776 and have bottled the first champagne in 1930. Before that she supplied the grapes to different houses. In 2008 they switched to biodynamic agriculture. The L 'Atavique is dry Extra Brut champagne (2g / l) and is a beauty of a bubble. Dry, cirtrus, brioche and a perfect perlage in the glass. Enjoy and incomparable with the mass of produced champagnes.
