Clos Mogador Aguardiente Quinta Essencia dels Llops Mogador de Lies

The Barbier-Meyer family makes 2 types of Eiua de Vies (or Spanish Cognac, Brand or Grappa), namely a version made from the grapes from the Clos Mogador vineyard which were not found suitable for the top wine in the 2nd selection in the winery and from this grapes with a beautiful Eau de Vie .
But in addition to this version, a version is made in a very small edition, which is produced from the dregs / lees of their top wine Clos Mogador. The dregs of the Clos Mogador are so beautiful and aromatic that Rene Barbier simply could not resist pressing this long oak aged dregs.
A distillate of great beauty is distilled from the solid particles that settle at the bottom of barrels during fermentation and aging. Everything you can find in the Clos Mogador wine is reinforced in the Eau de Vie, but we prefer to call it a Spanish Cognac or Spanish Grappa of the highest level. The Essencia is very rounded, delicately aromatic, with notes of nuts, spices and even the chalky slate tones for which the wine is so famous. Suitable as an aperitif, but especially after a meal with a good conversation partner or to meditate.
