Saint Clair is named after James Sinclair, who was responsible for the first settlements in Blenheim, New Zealand, home of the winery on the South Island. Founded in 1978, the family business is one of the pioneers in wine growing in Marlborough. That is why the link with pioneer James Sinclair was quickly made. Saint Clair owns over 270 hectares of vineyards in Marlborough on the South Island and in Hawke's Bay on the North Island.
After harvest, the grapes are pressed, avoiding contact with the skins as much as possible. The juice is cold fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve their freshness. In the glass, the Saint Clair Marlborough Origin Sauvignon Blanc has a typical lemon yellow color with notes of passion fruit and guava in the nose. In the mouth the wine is expressive with tropical aromas with a mineral, fresh aftertaste. Delicious with mussels, oysters, clams and goat cheese.
