2022 Jose Pariente Victoria Rosé

José Pariente makes the best Verdejos in Rueda without a doubt. But did you also know that for the first time in 2021 they made a top rosé on a very limited scale. Now their Verdejo or Sauvignon blanc wines are already beautiful, but this rosé "Victoria" is absolutely wonderful. The wine is a tribute from son and daughter Ignacio and Martina to their mother Victoria Pariente. Made from three different grape varieties: Grenache, Tempranillo and Viognier. An unusual blend, which is attractive and refined. The grenache comes from an old vineyard, planted in 1945, in Pedrosa del Rey with a soil of limestone and clay under sandy soils. Tempranillo comes from vineyards planted in 1960, located in Mucientes with soils of limestone, clay and marl under sandy soils. Viognier is from La Seca. The grapes come from the vineyards of Prieto Pariente. The soil is diverse and varies from silty sand to limestone, planted in 1999. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately pressed (no skin maceration) and the juice is fermented. The wine continues to mature on the lees for several months.

The Jose Pariente Victoria Rosé is a wine of great intensity and aromatic definition, with excellent freshness and excellent balance. The grapes have been able to ripen very gradually for a long time. The Jose Pariente Victoria has a pale pink color. Intense and elegant flavours. Remarkable fruity note of strawberry, raspberry and pomegranate with scents of rose petals and jasmine. Smooth and nice palate, good balance. Persistent and fresh with notes of cherry in the aftertaste.
