2022 Antinori Bramito Castello della Sala Chardonnay
Antinori's most popular restaurant white wine is this great Chardonnay. Made in Burgundy style and also called 'Baby Cervaro'.
This 100% Chardonnay from the famous Super Tuscan producer Antinori is a golden yellow wine with a bouquet of summer fruit and a pure Chardonnay character, with nice hints of vanilla. the taste is soft, with a nice balance and a refined structure. The vines (100% Chardonnay) are planted at an altitude of 200 to 400 meters. The soil type is mainly clay with fossils. After picking, the first fermentation of the wine takes place in steel vats, under a controlled temperature of no more than 10Cº. After a few hours of fermentation, the must and the skins go into French oak barriques for further fermentation and maturation of the wine. After 5-7 months the wine is ready to be bottled.
The name Bramito means 'the roar of the deer in the Bronze Age'. Cervo is the Italian word for deer. Cervara was the pet name of one of the Monaldeschi family members who held sway over Castello della Sala around 1300.

The traditional house participating in the modern Tuscan wine-growing revolution owes much of its prestige to its former chief vinologist Giacomo Tachis, who produced exceptional wines such as Sassicaia, Tignanello (especially sangiovese), Solaia (especially cabernet) and many others. the other was responsible. Vinologist Renzo Cotarella also created one of the best chardonnays in Italy in the Umbrian Castello della Sala.
