The Primeiras Vinhas Alvarinho Vinho Verde is fermented for 85% in stainless steel and for 15% in oak and is incredibly well integrated. The Albarino (Alvarinho) vineyards are around 40 years old. In the glass, the wine is very light yellow with a bit of a greenish tinge, which still betrays its youth. The wine has an aromatic nose with minerals and a hint of citrus that slowly unfolds in the glass. It is a medium bodied, fresh, dry and very elegant wine with a lot of length, which is still youthful, but is certainly ready to drink, but can also remain in the cellar until 2035+. Great value for money.
