The Manzone Roero Arneis Reysù comes from the sandy vineyards surrounding the town of Alba in Piedmont, Italy. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 300 meters and are oriented to the south/southeast. After the harvest, the Arneis grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. The fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.
The Reysù is lemon yellow with a green tinge. In the nose green apple and apricot. And in the mouth this Roero Arneis is fruity with aromas of fresh green fruit, stone fruit and soft bitters in the aftertaste. This makes this wine a perfect accompaniment to plaice with a squeeze of lemon. Also delicious with shellfish and vitello tonnato.
ABOUT MANZONE
In the rustic Serralunga d'Alba, in the heart of the DOCG Barolo, is the cru Meriame, where Paolo Manzone has planted his Nebbiolo for his main wines. The vineyard dates back to 1948 and the vines are sometimes up to 70 years old. Manzone has been inspired by Burgundy and makes Barolos that mature in French Bourgogne barrels. They are Barolos in a fairly modern style, which match the accessible and somewhat earthy style Barolos that the cru Meriame delivers.
