Description
Misty Cove is the relatively young wine company of winemaker Andrew Bailey and his Dutch wife Marieke. The grapes come from the best vineyards of Marlborough and Central Otago, which Andrew partially owns. Misty Cove makes pure and above all characteristic wines that have already distinguished themselves in a large number of competitions. The company has a great affinity with sustainability. Because Andrew is regularly in our country through his Dutch wife, his wines are now well known in restaurants and wine specialists such as Grandcruwijnen.
The Misty Cove Sauvignon Blanc is a typical Sauvignon from New Zealand. It starts with the color: subtle green. When smelling, there is a lot to discover: characteristic gooseberries, fresh herbs and melon. The smells drift out of the glass. They all fight for attention. In the taste, the wine is juicy and you can taste the greenery of celery, gooseberry, fresh grass, but also tropical fruits such as passion fruit and citrus. The long aftertaste shows that the wine is of good quality. The price/quality ratio of this New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is more than excellent.
