2021 La Posta Pinot Noir Glorieta Vineyard

Laura Catena - daughter of the famous wine pioneer Nicolas Catena - set up the series La Posta wines to give the smaller winegrowers of Mendoza their own stage, instead of a nameless place in the local cooperative. The wines are called La Posta, after the typical local pub that you will find everywhere on the side of the road.

The grapes for this Pinot Noir come from the vineyards of Isaías Prieto. They are located in relatively cool Tupungato, at an altitude of no less than 1200 meters. That's what the Pinot Noir likes. Especially the difference in temperature between day and night provides aroma and good acidity. He has to rely on his delicious fruit, so only 20% of the wine is aged in used French oak barrels. The rest of the wine remained on stainless steel. That produces a delicious glass of Pinot, powerful and balanced, with delicious fruit.
