The Cuvée Luc blanc is a blend of Grenache 50%, Viognier 20% and Roussanne 20%, Clairette 10%. The vineyards are between 16 - 25 years old and organically grown and produced. The wine is now also certified organic. There is no chemical weed control and the fertilization is very moderate with organic manure, including compost and sheep manure. The terroir of the vineyard consists of clay-sand and lime-sand with many stones. Harvest always takes place between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. in the morning to prevent spontaneous fermentation. The wine remains on its own lees for 4-5 months after which the wine is bottled almost unfiltered during April of the year.
The Cuvée Luc blanc is a nice fresh and complex white wine. The aromas of blossom, citrus fruit and apricot fly out of the glass. In the mouth this wine is nicely balanced and has a surprisingly long finish. In the glass the wine has a fresh light golden yellow/green color. In the nose, the wine is dusty with scents of citrus fruit, white blossom, gooseberries and a little white peach. In the mouth we taste white fruit with a good balance between acid and alcohol. In the aftertaste, the wine is fresh, elegant and round. Certified Organic/Vegan
Fact: This wine is also served in the Rijksmuseum.
