2022 Chateau Minuty Cuvee 281

Chateau Minuty has a fully automatic bottling line designed to protect the rosé wines from oxidation and respect their aromatic qualities. Chateau Minuity (and certainly the Rose et Or and the Cuvee Prestige) belongs to the top houses such as Château Camparnaud , Ott, MIP, AIX, Miraval, Domaine Tropez that have set the trend to produce absolute quality rosé that can be excellent as an aperitif but certainly also excellent with lobster, shellfish, white pasta dishes or a delicious salad. The quality and education is also such that the wines remain blissful when aging (2-3 years).

The wine is a blend of mainly grenache with a small amount of Syrah. The 281 is the top model of Minuty and is a very lively rosé with concentrated flavors. It has an intense freshness, somewhat salty / mineral. It is a dry rosé without losing its fruit and that is where a top rosé can distinguish itself.

The Cuvee 281 is the absolute top model of Minuty. Here are just a handful of bottles from .The vineyard 'looks' to the sea and this maritime influence makes for a vineyard where no poison is needed to keep the grapes healthy. This very elegant and complex rose wine comes from free-flow juice (so no pressing). The grapes for the 281 come from the best plots of minuty with a terroir of slate, clay and sand. The 281 has an HVE (High Environmental Value) certification, and the harvest is completely manual and only the free range juice is used for the Grandcru Rose. The low temperature alcoholic fermentation, no malolactic fermentation. 12.5% VOL. The wine gets a (much) longer maturation than the other Minuty wines, a wine that only becomes more beautiful with some aging.

In the glass, the minuty Cuvee 281 is a very light pink with crystal reflections. In the nose, the wine is intense with a beautiful complexity with notes of white fruit (peach, melon) with somewhat iodine salty notes, which is clearly the influence of the sea. The wine has an impressive depth with a mineral structure. This Minuty Cuvee 281 is a completely unique rose and is incomparable and is one of the most beautiful roses that is simply amazing with some aging. Close your eyes and is it a Burgundy after all?
