2021 Caze Blanque Chardonnay 0.375

The Languedoc-Roussillon produces beautiful wines and those from the Limoux are legendary. However, the winemaker of Caze Blanque decided to go more west; with the Atlantic at the back, the vines full of chardonnay grapes also grow more than excellently here. Especially with the sometimes extreme temperatures of recent years, the Atlantic sea breeze provides better regulation and cooling and good differences between day and night temperatures and this makes the wines of Caze Blanque just a bit more elegant and fresh than many from the areas with more Mediterranean influence.

The Chardonnay grapes come from a vineyard located on old terraces covered with Collivium clay and limestone. This 100% Chardonnay has a beautiful straw yellow color with green reflections. Aromas of white flowers, accentuated by a hint of citrus. Balanced and crunchy in the mouth. A delicious glass of enjoyment and good to combine with grilled or sautéed fish. Also tasty with poultry.
