Winemaker Mathieu Hulst of vineyard Apostelhoeve has once again shown that the Riesling grape also does particularly well on Dutch soil because this Riesling Louwberg tastes really good! A delicious fresh wine with a juicy and ripe taste and a nice long aftertaste. On the nose aromas of green apples, pear, apricot and flowers. Special and remarkably full of taste, well balanced with pleasant fresh acids. The wine already tastes delicious but is also promising when it is kept for a few more years.
This riesling goes well with pork, rich fish dishes (eg salmon, tuna), poultry, spicy dishes, vegetarian dishes and sweet desserts.
Vineyard Apostelhoeve is now one of the most famous vineyards in the Netherlands, located south of the city of Maastricht on the Louwberg, in the extension of the Cannerberg on the west side of the Jekerdal. Currently, this beautiful winery has an area of 6 hectares that is used for viticulture. The grapes grow on a soil of pebble and marl with a layer of loess over it.
