This wine is made from Chardonnay and Xarel - lo and stands out for its delicacy and finesse. The light and fresh aromas characterize the youthfulness. Spain is an absolutely emerging country in the field of white wines and this Petit Albet is a very good example of this.
This delightfully friendly white wine has volume due to the Chardonnay and freshness from the Xarel.lo. On the label we see the feet of little Luc, the youngest son of Toni Albet. This is also the first wine they bottle with a screw cap. Everything has been thought through. The results are impressive. And in terms of price-quality ratio, this Petit Albet is a real hit!
The Petit Blanc is bright and young in color. Fruit in the nose, apple, gooseberry, floral accent, limited notes of the Chardonnay and some typical Mediterranean spiciness of the Xarel.lo. The whole perfectly fruity dry taste with more than enough filling and fruit. Yummy! The perfect passe-partout summer wine with a spicy character!
This domain is the organic pioneer of Spain. Josep-Maria Albet i Noya introduced this new concept to Spanish vineyards in 1979. Together with his brother Toni, they currently control more than 100 ha of ecological vineyards. The two brothers are not sitting still, because in the meantime they have projects in Rioja, Priorat and they have started a search for forgotten old grape varieties. In 25 years they have managed to make better wines every year and to continue to surprise the consumer. They are located in San Pau d'Ordal (Alt Penedès), some 35 km south of Barcelona, and not so far from Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, the capital of cava. Josep-Maria is an oenologist who knows what he wants and rigorously goes for his goal. As a young man he already resolutely opted for organic viticulture, against the trends of the time and large domains. Today he is still ahead of everything else; He has long since stopped using 100% new barrels because he wants the fruit to always take precedence over wood, a philosophy that would benefit more winegrowers in Spain. In the meantime, he has also developed all kinds of techniques to make wine as natural as possible, with the addition of the minimum amount of sulphur.
