2020 Rioja Tentenublo Wines Blanco

A feature that distinguishes Tentenublo is the special situation of the 7 hectares of vineyards, spread over 19 plots located between Viñaspre and Lanciego, one of the lesser known areas of the Rioja region. The incredible diversity of these plots leads to the various wines that Tentenublo produces, all of which are very small unique plots, so the final production is only a handful of very unique great Rioja wines.

Bodega Tentenublo belongs to the absolute new style Rioja makers. Made from a blend of Viura and Malvasia. The vineyards are all between 40 and 100 years old and they worked with minimal intervention and tillage.

Very careful crushing of the grapes, manual pressing of the grapes and fermentation takes place in Hungarian oak where the wine stays for 5-6 baskets (with daily pumping). The Tentenublo blanco is a sensation of fresh white fruit with a beautifully integrated light wood tone. The taste is long lasting, slightly fat with a nice acidity. A great fresh, complex wine. The style is like a beautiful Burgundian, but then unbeatable in terms of price. Only 5,438 bottles of this beautiful white Rioja have been made. In its younger years, open the bottle in good time and do not drink this fine wine too cold (10-12 grands is perfect in our opinion).

In some cases, the wines are given a kind of WAX closure instead of a regular capsule. This has no further purpose and has the disadvantage that it hardens quite quickly and pieces can then simply crumble (spontaneously, during transport, etc.). This has no influence on the quality of the wine. We cannot give any further guarantee for this.
