2020 Puro Rofe Juan Bello

Lanzarote is paradise for wine lovers. Old autochthonous vines on lava soils, with Atlantic influences but the majority of the wine was mainly cheap tourist wines. Rayco Fernández, as a distributor based in Gran Canaria, had the same feeling. He decided to do something about it. With a number of like-minded friends, he decided to make real terroir wine on the island. And so it happened and with Puro Rofe extremely beautiful wines have now been made in an extreme landscape. The international wine press is also full of praise for the entire series, all of which score well above 90/100 points.

The Juan Bello is the first "vino de paraje" or Cru. This plot is located in Masdache, where the vineyards are planted on a volcano. These are the impressive more than 100-year-old vines that survive in the small "hoyos" on the volcano. Very impressive ! Traditional vinification with fermentation in large barriques of 500 liters. Spontaneous fermentation. Only 606 bottles of this wine have been bottled! Bottling without filtering or clarification.

The Juan Bello Masdache is light in color. In the nose this is the most open wine, with already green salty notes that stand out. The wine tickles the palate with an almost electric power! Superbly present acids with mineral nuances. Serious length. 95/100 Parker
