The grapes for the Lievland Vineyards Cellar Reserve Organic Cabernet Merlot are hand-picked, de-stemmed and, after a two-day cold maceration, left in an open tank for a period of 7 days. The must is regularly moved and the so-called “hat” is pressed down to extract more aroma, color and flavorings from the must. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French oak.
The Lievland Vineyards Cellar Reserve Organic Cabernet Merlot is an organic certified (BIO) wine. It is an intense, full-bodied wine with soft tannins. Plum and ripe cherry predominate in the scent. The grapes come from an average of 20 year old vines that are organically processed
