2020 Gilbert Picq Chablis Premier Cru Vosgros

This beautiful Chablis Premier Cru 'Vosgros' from winery Gilbert Picq comes from the 1.5 hectares of premier cru Vosgros vineyards that this domaine is rich in. We are talking about a really finesse-rich 100% Chardonnay wine, with a nice aroma, broad, with nuts, honey, complexity and richness. The wine has a very impressive, powerful taste with a lot of finesse and elegance. Furthermore, citrus fruit, a nice bitterness and a pleasantly long aftertaste. This Vosgros goes well with fish dishes with an equally strong taste and with all types of white meat.

The Domaine Gilbert Picq is considered one of the best wine producers of the, relatively unknown, premier cru Vosgros. Gilbert Picq owns 1.5 hectares of this, which produces a wine that excels for the great combination of finesse and power. A very reliable Chablis, from a premier cru southeast of the village of Chablis, near Chichée, where the winery is located, on the left bank of the River Serein.

Today the estate is owned by Gilbert's two sons Didier and Pascal and his daughter Marilyn Picq. The vineyards are managed by Pascal, Didier leads the vinification in the cellars and Marilyn is in overall charge. The Picq winery owns a total of 13 hectares of vineyards, of which 2 hectares are Premier Crus and 1 hectare with old vines of around 50 years old. Picq is a classic example of how to make truly amazing wines. The winery regularly receives very positive reviews from international wine journalists. For example in Wine Spectator and guides such as Gault Millau and Guide Hachette, who praise the house and winemaker Didier Picq for the continuous pursuit of quality.
