Jean Rijckaert started making wine in 1990 in the Mâconnais region, where he had settled, as co-founder of the Verget wine merchants in Sologny. In 1998, when Domaine Rijckaert was founded, Jean bought 4 hectares of vineyards in Maconnais (mainly in the Viré-Clessé area) and, as a lover of the Jura region and convinced of the area's viticultural potential, 5 hectares in Arbois. Coming from a beautiful stony site on the plateau of Roche de Vergisson, the POUILLY-FUISSE "La Roche" is a wine of great mineral density, expressive and delicate. Of course this Rijckaert Pouilly-Fuisse La Roche Vieilles Vignes is a 100% Chardonnay from old vines.
