Description
This wine is obtained by using the juice from one of Merlot's Merlot casks during the fermentation process, a practice known as 'le saignée' also known as the bleeding from the wine barrel. The juice is then fermented in barrels for six to ten months, with no added substances. The rosé (or clarete) is then bottled without filtration and without sulphites. This rosé is a very serious wine and is difficult to place. More complex than a white burgundy and tighter and fruitier than a red burgundy. In the glass, the wine is bright pink with a red tinge. The nose is fresh and floral, with aromas of red fruit and notes of peonies and white flowers. On the palate, Rose-Marie is light and playful, with tannins so light they are barely detectable. Great beautiful and unique rosé that will improve even further with the years.
Château Le Puy, Famille Amoreau de père en fils depuis 1610. Not Bordeaux made like thirty years ago, but Bordeaux made like 100 or 200 years ago. No chemical sprays (biodynamic culture) in the vineyard, nothing from additives during vinification (nor sugar, yeasts, sulphite or other things), aging on old 'foudres' and barriques, not filtered. Château Le Puy is one of the few Bordeaux that you will find in trendy wine circles on the tasting table between natural wines, Jura, Beaujolais and Loire. The label says - Expression originale du Terroir and that is not an empty marketing slogan. Château Le Puy : the Bordeaux before the post-Bordeaux era.

Château Le Puy is not just a Bordeaux wine, but a Bordeaux made as one from 100 or 200 years ago. No chemicals (biodynamic culture) in the vineyard, no chemical additives during vinification (neither sugar, yeasts, sulphites or other things), aging on old 'foudres' and barriques, not filtered. Château Le Puy is one of the few Bordeaux that you will find in hip wine circles on the tasting table between natural wines, Jura, Beaujolais and Loire. The label says - Expression originale du Terroir and that is not an empty marketing slogan. Château Le Puy: Bordeaux for the post-Bordeaux era.
The Amoreau family has been producing biodynamic wines (without the addition of fertilizers, herbicides or insecticides) since the 17th century and does not even add sulfites (since 1998). These unfiltered wines come from vines over 50 years old. They turn out to be really young when tested and have a long storage capacity. In addition to the Ecocert (2012) and Demeter (2013) labels, the Château Le Puy also received Nature et Progrès (2013) and Productions végétales certifications, all of which guarantee that the wine is grown in the most natural way possible.
