Vi-d-re is a creation of Antoni Mata Casanovas, the second generation of the Recaredo family. Discreet and modest, Antoni Mata Casanovas has worked tirelessly on the management, creativity, representation and oenology of Recaredo. Under the concept VI-D-RE "transparency shows the way" and after more than 60 years of winemaking, Antoni Mata has invented Vi-d-re, a variety of fermented xarello, aged and sealed with only glass, without contact come with any other material.The 100% ). This plot is located in the province of Alt Penedès and has been cultivated according to the principles of organic, biodynamic agriculture. We allow the plant cover to grow spontaneously between the vines. This cover plays a crucial role: it loosens the soil, regulates water retention and drainage (essential in the dry farming system we use) and helps promote biodiversity and maintain balance in the vineyard ecosystem. Natural plant treatments (phytotherapy) are applied to the vines to control the presence of fungi and strengthen the vine's defenses. All Celler Credo grapes are harvested by hand to ensure the excellent quality of the fruit.

Vi-d-re embodies transparency and reflects the quality of the grapes used and the work done in the vineyard. It contains no added sulphites, only those naturally produced by yeasts during the fermentation process (<10 mg/l) so a 100% Vin Natural. The must fermentation takes place in 32 liter demijohns, where the wine is then stored for about five months before being bottled. Celler Credo wines always ferment on indigenous yeast isolated from our vineyards. Vi-d-re tries to express the terroir as fully as possible and can have completely natural sediments due to our minimal intervention. The VI-D-RE is a special pure style of wine, great for wine/food combinations! This organic and biodynamic white wine is a limited edition and is only made in the good years. Of the 2020 vintage, 1,208 bottles were made and these are all numbered.

Celler Credo by Recaredo
A project by Recaredo, for which a few plots have been purchased to make this vin natural wines. The aim is to create a pure expression of the Xarel.lo through the use of different ripening and fermentation methods. A special pure style wine, great for wine/food combinations! This Vin Naturale wine is vinified and bottled by Recaredo - the owner of Celler Credo.

The following facts testify that serious efforts are being made to make this great wine extremely sustainable

  • Only 11% alcohol - so in keeping with the modern style of good wine with less alcohol
  • Sulphites only <10 mg/l (150 mg/l is allowed by the EU for organic/organic white wines)
  • Residual sugar only <0.5 g/l
  • Vegan wines are therefore not clarified with animal proteins
  • EcoBottle of 390 gr (Less weight, less impact on the carbon footprint
  • Organic farming - Certified Organic by CCPAE

Recaredo Corpinnat is without doubt a reference for long-aged cavas and, together with Mestres and Gramona, is considered the Grandcru and the top of the cavas. Recaredo also has a silent white wine project and these wines are made under the Celler Credo name. Celler Credo or 'free-of-mind' label from Recaredo. With these still white wines, the Recaredo team discovers what is possible with Xarel.lo from different teroirs and vinification methods.

Impeccable Vins Natural! Recaredo has acquired a number of (very) special vineyards in the Penedès region for the production of refined natural wines. The aim is a pure expression of Xarel.lo where different fermentation methods and maturation processes are used. The wines are made by the well-known winemakers Nuria Arteaga and Ton Mata and they know exactly how to strike the right chord and make particularly pure and energetic wines from Xarel.lo, whereby the wines, as also with the Cavas from Recaredo, have become benchmark wines for ' nature' style Xarel.lo in the Penedès. Aged on the lees, macerated with the skin or stems of the grape, without the addition of sulphites – modern techniques or techniques learned from our grandparents... In short, a thousand and one ways to interpret Xarel-lo. In other words, Xarel-lo is the Credo.
