2020 Cannonball Chardonnay

Cannonball California wines are sourced from select regions throughout California. The philosophy of the owners Dennis Hill and Yoav Gilat is completely in line with the name of their company and the image on the label. That refers to the inner child in all of us. In the eyes of Dennis and Yoav, wine is sometimes taken so seriously that we forget what it is all about: enjoyment. They take their wines very seriously. Dennis Hill is a winemaker with a long track record, making true American wines without becoming too heavy, too buttery and too woodsy.

American chardonnays can sometimes be pronounced with lots of wood and aromatic expression. At Cannonball they take a different approach and look for it in the finesse. This Cannonball Chardonnay combines the typical fullness of American chardonnay with elegance and freshness. Attractive scent of peach, vanilla, honeysuckle and fresh butter. Nice fat, peach, citrus fruit and refreshing acidity in the taste. A nice freshness in the aftertaste, which gives the wine a nice tension and length.

Delicious with fish dishes such as fried scallops with butter sauce, chicken or with sweet potato puree with mackerel.
