The different vineyards are then blended and the wine matures for another 6 months in stainless steel tanks. In the glass, the Casamatta Rosso has a light cherry red color with cherries, strawberries and mandarin in the nose. tea, Mediterranean herbs and earth. On the palate this is a lively and playful Sangiovese. Juicy with good acidity. Accessible with soft, refined tannins. Not a Tuscan blockbuster, which is often the case with Sangiovese, but rather fruity, fresh and accessible. Delicious with ribollita: a Tuscan bread soup with bread, beans and cavalo nero.
