2022 Albet I Noya Lignum Blanc
The Lignum blanc from Albet I Noya is a fine example of technical prowess. The Chardonnay offers perfect plumpness due to its fermentation in oak. The Sauvignon Blanc is aromatically strong, mineral and grassy. And the tip of Xarello provides that extra bit of freshness. Perfect wine for gastronomic combinations. Fermentation takes place in French oak for the Chardonnay, followed by an élevage of 3 months in French oak. Inox cuves for the Sauvignon Blanc and the Xarello. 2011 is the first year in which Xarello was used. The Lignum Blanc is bright in color. Two varietals emerge on the nose: the buttery-soft and floral Chardonnay with some notes of its élevage and the freshness and minerality of the Sauvignon Blanc. Plump in the mouth, but here too it retains its freshness. Nice aftertaste. Very successful wine.
