The El Fanio of Albet I Noya comes from a plot of over 60 years old Xarel lo at an altitude of 350 meters that is part of Finca Can Milà. Extreme calcareous soils that have been worked since 2006. Fanio is the name of the man who planted the vineyards. Production of 15,000 bottles. Fermentation for 1/3 in acacia wood barrels, 1/3 in stainless steel vats and 1/3 in concrete eggs.
In the glass, the El Fanio is pale yellow with a light pink shimmer. Striking Mediterranean spiciness after rolling, with a citrusy freshness at the bottom and finished with a limited cask aging. The barrel aging is also discreetly reflected in the taste. Furthermore, El Fanio is a rich Xarel lo, but not of the acid-driven type, fuller and richer with a limited acidity and a somewhat spicy finish.
